ALNO CELEBRATES ITS 90 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT IMM COLOGNE FURNITURE FAIR

February 22nd, 2017

New 2017 Kitchen Innovations Launched and Company History Recognized

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Pfullendorf, Germany / New York, NY USA; February 2017: ALNO, Europe’s second largest kitchen manufacturer of custom German-engineered cabinets celebrated its 90th Birthday with the release of four new 2017 kitchen models at the imm Cologne Furniture Fair and Living Kitchen exposition this January in Germany.

In recognition of its 90 Years in operation, ALNO AG, ALNO USA’s parent company, developed a concept kitchen. The anniversary kitchen is an interpretation of historical style elements from the time of the company’s founder, Albert Nothdurft in 1927, and combined it with today’s materials using cutting-edge production technology at the main factory in Pfullendorf. The kitchen is a simple white lacquer kitchen with rounded edges and some open shelving units above the sink. Below is a photo of the concept kitchen presented at the Fair for ALNO AG’s 90th anniversary:

In addition to the concept kitchen, ALNO kept 1927 styles in the line and developed three focal models for 2017:

ALNOATTRACT with its deliberate asymmetry and spirited design transitions, breaks and offsets create an air of mood and drama. This kitchen takes inspiration from outside façade architecture of buildings from the Bauhaus, Gothic and Post-modern era, from religious temples and churches for example.

ALNOSTAR DUR / ALNOSTAR PEARL takes from the recent appeal for metallic and textured fronts. This kitchen (below) combines a stone like front in “Ferro Bronze” and starkly contrasts this material with a high gloss lacquer cabinet in one of the coolest whites in the industry, called “ultra-white.” This kitchen has taken center stage in ALNO’s branding campaign for 2017, “One thing’s for sure: ALNO.”  New in this kitchen line specifically is the fully rounded segmentation in its base cabinets creating an added stylistic feature.

ALNOSOFT is understated yet stylish due to this design’s ultra-white matte lacquer finish. This matte finish, simply pleasant and very easy to work with, offers the most design flexibility for pattern and accessorizes. Named ALNOSOFT due to its upper cabinetry sliding doors - contemporary and user-friendly. ALNO also built an inviting seating area with modern stainless steel legs.
