Alno Kitchens Awarded Contract to Furnish Cabinetry for Building in New York City’s Gramercy Park District

Alno USA Corp., part of the Alno AG conglomerate and leader of fine European cabinetry has been awarded a contract from developers, Naftali Group and The Carlyle Group. Alno has been selected to furnish 57 units, all with fitted cabinets for the luxury apartment building’s kitchens.

Goldstein Hill & West Architects along with Rottet Studios and the developers worked closely together with Alno to select the kitchen line that would best suit their customers. A combination of two fronts were selected; AlnoFine in White & AlnoClass in Walnut, creating a clean look with a warm wood accent. Special to the units in the kitchen is a sturdy stainless steel metal-framed work table combined with shelving to match. Countertops are made from real quartz. The Alno stainless steel framed table and shelving, as added built-in furniture pieces, gives the room a sense of polished completeness.

The General Contractor, New Line Construction has already commenced the project, and the installation of the kitchens will start this August 2105. 234 East 23rd Street, is 20-storeys, 93,452 sq. ft. and is located in the famous area of Gramercy, just steps away from the city’s most enticing parks and restaurants. The building is equipped with top of the line amenities including a roof deck, garden terrace, fitness center and resident’s lounge.

Other high-rise projects in New York for Alno include, 93 Worth Street in Tribeca and 92 Morningside, for example. Alno is positioned to service kitchens to multi-unit buildings in the greater New York area including Brooklyn, Long Island City, New Jersey and Connecticut. Between Alno AG’s seven factories, the company has the capability of producing cabinetry at a very high volume. Alno is well positioned for projects through its New York and through its other dealerships in North America.
